Accessible from Sarlat, the city dominates the Dordogne valley, which meets at the base of a cliff, the river Céou. Castelnaud la Chapelle offers magnificent views over the village of La Roque Gageac, Marqueyssac Gardens and the sumptuous castle of Beynac.
