Nestled in a circus, surrounded by impressive cliffs (over 150 m high), do not miss the village of Autoire. It is nice to get lost in the village streets lined with half-timbered houses, a 15th century manor house without forgetting the Romanesque church of St. Peter and St. Paul. The village square, lined with cafes and shops is occupied by a beautiful fountain decorated with bronze dolphins.
Autoire visit would not be complete without a promenade that leads to the waterfall and along the Autoire river, the very one that gives the village its name. Located 2 kilometers from the small village, 30 meters high, the place is ideal for a short freshness break. By visiting the waterfall, raise your head and pay attention to the ruins of English castle (13th century), overlooking the cliff and registered as historical monuments since 1925.
Most athletes will continue to explore the circus climbing to top of the cliffs to admire the view over the valley, the landscape of Quercy and Castelnau Castle in the distance.
One of the most beautiful and authentic caves in the region
